As a young girl, I was meticulous about my hair, always ensuring it was perfectly styled before stepping out, which sometimes got me into trouble. My passion for hair was evident even during my school days, as I often found myself surrounded by classmates at lunch, eagerly waiting for me to work my magic on their hair.
My hair journey took a pivotal turn when I experimented with my first weave, bundles called “Goddess.” This soon escalated to more luxurious choices like Peruvian hair, sourced from a lady who eventually became my vendor. However, a disappointing purchase from her pushed me to seek out my own suppliers—a daunting task at first, but one that led me to strike gold. This was the beginning of “Drama Queen,” where top-quality hair and my love for dynamic styles made sure I turned heads and sparked conversations wherever I went. My hair wasn’t just part of my look—it was a statement.
In 2022, I created a sanctuary for women at “Hairfortlessly,” understanding that hair is more than just an adornment; it’s a lifter of spirits. I’ve encountered women from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique reasons for choosing wigs or hair extensions, ranging from medical needs to personal confidence boosts. Over the years, I’ve witnessed and contributed to the cultural shift that has seen wigs evolve from a taboo subject to a celebrated beauty accessory.
